1. Who we are
The TortSignal Mass Tort ROI & Intake Calculator (the "Calculator") is operated by LawTegic Solutions ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information we collect from visitors to the Calculator and how we use it. It supplements any broader LawTegic Solutions privacy policy.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you unlock the gated portion of the Calculator, you provide your work email and firm name. We store these locally in your browser and transmit them to our lead-management webhook so we can follow up.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Anonymous visitor identifier — a random ID stored in your browser (localStorage) so we can deduplicate page views.
- Page, referrer, and UTM parameters — to understand which marketing channels drive traffic.
- IP address — collected on the server when you visit. We use it solely for firmographic lookup (described below) and request logging. We do not store your raw IP in our CRM.
- Browser viewport size and user-agent — for diagnostics and responsive design.
- Calculator inputs (e.g. CPL, conversion rates) — only when you submit the unlock form, so we can prepare a relevant follow-up.
2.3 IP-based firmographic enrichment
When you visit the Calculator, we use a third-party IP intelligence provider (currently ipinfo.io) to look up the company or organization associated with your IP address — for example, the law firm, ISP, or hosting provider on whose network you are connecting. This is company-level information only. It does not identify you personally.
We may also load a visitor-identification reveal script (e.g. RB2B, Snitcher, Leadfeeder, or Clearbit Reveal/Breeze Intelligence) that performs a similar lookup client-side and may, in some cases, surface a likely individual based on professional networks. We treat any such match as B2B prospecting data subject to this policy.
We rely on our legitimate business interest in identifying the firms our marketing reaches as the legal basis for this processing under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and analogous frameworks. You may opt out at any time by emailing the address in Section 8.
3. How we use your information
- To deliver the Calculator and the unlocked results to you.
- To follow up about TortSignal services, mass-tort intelligence, and related LawTegic offerings.
- To measure marketing performance and improve the Calculator.
- To prevent abuse and maintain security.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it to make automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
4. Local storage
The Calculator uses your browser's localStorage (not cookies) to remember:
tortsignal_calculator_unlocked— whether you have completed the email gate.tortsignal_lead_email— the email you entered.tortsignal_lead_firm— the firm name you entered.tortsignal_visitor_id— an anonymous random identifier for deduplication.
You can clear these at any time from your browser's storage settings, or by using the "Reset locked calculator" control inside the Calculator.
5. Third parties
- ipinfo.io — IP address lookup for company-level enrichment.
- Visitor reveal provider (e.g. RB2B, Snitcher, Leadfeeder, Clearbit Reveal) — when enabled.
- Our lead-management webhook / CRM — receives your unlock submission and enriched view events.
- Search and AI engines — we permit indexing by major search and AI crawlers (Google, Bing, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, etc.) so the Calculator can be discovered and accurately described.
6. Data retention
We retain lead submissions for as long as needed to support the relationship or comply with legal obligations. Anonymous view events may be retained in aggregate for analytics purposes indefinitely.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using Section 8.
